Here are some pictures of my latest project.
The rectangles are boxes from stuffed animals the girls received for Christmas. I covered them with burlap and the leftover fabric from the curtains.
I made a flower from burlap scraps, jute, and Prima flowers.

The black swirls are made from jewelry cord that I hot glued on.
My kitchen is finally getting some life. Hope everyone likes it.

A Much needed Face lift!

My poor kitchen had no personality. I finally made the time to give her a bit of color. I made a little curtain topper and an art piece for the wall. I have another project for a different wall that I am working on, hopefully I can finish soon. Anyway here is a pitiful BEFORE shot.
And the AFTER...
A little better huh. The wall hanging was made based on inspiration from one I saw in a Michael's add. I am pretty happy with the end result. I had to figure out all the dimensions and cut the wood with our band saw (my first time using it), and the "tiles" are pieces of foam board covered with scrapbook paper. Total out of pocket $9.50. for the curtains and the wall hanging.
Now our home is starting to look "Homey" and more comfortable.

She is a BLESSING!

Taryn was blessed on the 11th. She fussed a little, but she sure looked beautiful. We all love her so much. Our family feels complete now that she is here.
I wanted this special day to be perfect so.......
I made her a pretty little bracelet, a white blanket,
some cute little booties,
a blessing dress (without a pattern, I must have temporally lost my mind, but it turned out pretty).
and some sweet cookies. (I made the cookie cutter from a foil pan after I saw how on studio 5. Easy and fun.)

It was a beautiful day. Thank you to all who came to support us, and to those who brought food for the lunch after thank you again.

2 months old.

Taryn is 2 months old today. She is still so calm and sweet. She is sleeping for about 6 hours at night. She is starting to coo and Smile often. I am so happy that she is in our lives.
The kids are out of school for spring break. Kenley and Dallin have been making me breakfast in bed. They are so thoughtful, the menu could use some work though.

Tomato juice, Apple, Dry cereal, & a pickle.
Chips, broccoli, strawberries, & dilly beans.
Egg salad, applesauce with strawberries and cinnamon, & strawberries & bananas with a lot of cinnamon.

Yum.
I am a very lucky woman, but I think I better start getting out of bed a bit earlier!
